BPFS is conveniently located just outside of Honolulu International Airspace at the John Rodgers Field (JRF) in Kalaeloa, previously the Barbers Point Naval Air Station. The airspace is less congested than at Honolulu International and offers Private Pilot candidates a less apprehensive environment to conduct training in. Time spent getting airborne is also reduced significantly because of reduced air traffic. This provides a more cost effective environment because you spend more of your time in the air than on the ground waiting to depart. Furthermore, the amount of time it takes to enter designated training airspace is also reduced.

Your abilities will be tested at JRF and you will be confronted to master “crosswind landings”.
